After 12 years of investing in innovation it is necessary to identify and articulate the results.
Yesterday, President Vizcarra reiterated the importance of consolidating productive diversification through increased investment and incentives for the development of Forestry, Aquaculture and tourism activities. Incentives have been identified with regulations and new institutional arrangements that are described in the recently published “National Plan for Competitiveness and Productivity”, which highlights efforts to achieve more efficiency in the management of transverse processes which are still doubling between the agents related to innovation in Peru (SINACYT).
These efforts result in better management of the instruments that finance innovation, in the spaces for innovation and in the rectory of productive innovation. There are several measures involved in this process, the same ones that require careful analysis to bring their understanding closer to the viandantes; on this occasion I just want to highlight the relevance of creating an Innovation Agency in Peru. If we understand that innovation is mainly linked to the area of value creation, be it as economic or social utility; it is not uncommon to relate it to the business environment, while they are basic units of productivity.
Innovation agencies seek to bring companies to the “next level” by bringing them closer to the creation of more sophisticated, technology-and knowledge-based services. After 12 years of investing in innovation-via the Innóvate fund-it is necessary to identify and articulate the existing results among the various beneficiaries of the fund. That will be the mandatary task of the next national innovation agency.”
